Porsche Panamera lug nut torque

Porsche Panamera owner’s manuals give 118 lb-ft (160 N·m) for model years 2013–2024 and 2026–2027; 443 lb-ft (600 N·m) for central-lock wheels, model years 2024–2027; and 119 lb-ft (161 N·m converted) for model years 2024–2025. Check which applies to yours. The manuals are Porsche’s international editions. Tighten them in a star pattern with a torque wrench. A central-lock wheel has a single central bolt instead, which takes the central-lock value.

A unit marked converted isn’t printed in that manual, or is printed wrongly: it’s worked out from one the manual prints. These are the international editions of Porsche’s owner’s manuals; a car sold in another country comes with that country’s edition, so check yours. Read on Porsche’s own site on October 24, 2026. Years not listed haven’t been checked yet, or their manual prints no value; check your own manual.

How to tighten them

  1. Clean any dirt or rust off the bolts and the wheel’s mounting face. Don’t oil them unless the manual says to.
  2. Thread every bolt in by hand until it seats against the wheel.
  3. Lower the vehicle so the tire takes its weight, and set a torque wrench to the value for your model year and version in the table above.
  4. Tighten the bolts in a star pattern, going around two or three times, until the wrench clicks on every bolt. A central-lock wheel has a single central bolt instead: tighten it to the central-lock value, with a torque wrench that reaches it.
  5. Check the torque again after a short drive if your manual says to.

What the Porsche manual adds

  • Immediately after a wheel change, use a torque wrench to check the prescribed tightening torque of the wheel bolts (160 Nm).

Questions

What is the lug nut torque on a Porsche Panamera?

118 lb-ft (160 N·m) for model years 2013–2024 and 2026–2027; 443 lb-ft (600 N·m) for central-lock wheels, model years 2024–2027; 119 lb-ft (161 N·m converted) for model years 2024–2025, from Porsche’s owner’s manuals (2013–2027).

Can I use an impact wrench?

Not to finish. An impact wrench can’t set a torque and easily overshoots it, which stretches studs. Run the nuts down by hand or lightly, then finish with a torque wrench in a star pattern.

Should I oil the wheel bolts?

Not unless the manual says so. Torque values assume clean, dry threads; oil lets the same torque stretch the bolt further. Some manuals, Kia’s and Mazda’s among them, say to keep oil and grease off wheel nuts and bolts altogether.
